Cooking and Nutrition Classes

Led by a chef and registered dietitian, our programs allow children to actively participate in chopping, peeling, measuring, mixing, and baking healthy foods while learning about the importance of nutrition. Kids learn new cooking skills and recipes that promote healthy eating and cultivate a love for cooking.

The programs are generously funded by the Stephanie and David Spina Family Foundation.

Choose from Three Cooking and Nutrition Programs:

An introductory baking class for kids who have completed Flint Kids Cook or Flint Families Cook. In this five-week class, kids learn a variety of baking techniques while preparing a mix of savory and sweet recipes. Classes are held at the Flint Farmers’ Market.

Just for Kids

A cooking and nutrition class just for kids. This six-week class introduces children to a variety of cooking techniques and recipes that feature each of the five food groups. Classes are held at the Flint Farmers’ Market.

VIrtual Cooking Class

A virtual cooking class for the whole family! Cook along from home with our chef and learn about healthy eating with our dietitian all on Zoom.
